I love this bike. It’s up there as my favourite, even though I’m now more likely to use my road bike for road rides and trail bike for trails. In the past my globe pro was used for city commutes, gravel rides, bike packing around Scotland and trips abroad. Hardly ever had maintenance issues with it. Overall a great, go (almost) anywhere bike.

Fit, maintenance and ownership details

Fit and sizing

Easy to set up straight out of the box.

Long-term strengths

Good general purpose bike, still looks good 18yrs on.

Problems and recurring maintenance

N/a

Parts replaced or upgraded

Added a pannier rack, that’s about it. Only ever had to replace parts you’d expect to wear out, chain, brake pads etc.

What a used buyer should inspect

I won’t be selling

Would own one again: Yes
