Private by default
Your Garage does not become public
The shareable record has its own address. You control when that link exists and can replace or revoke it without deleting the private bicycle record.
- Your member email and private Garage notes are excluded.
- The full serial number is never displayed.
- Private inspection notes and maintenance-mileage data stay private.
- Setup details appear only when you explicitly include them.
What the record does—and does not—establish
A Shareable Bike Record combines available Velopedia Archive information with history documented by the Garage owner. Owner-entered information is labeled accordingly. It is not an appraisal, title or theft check, independent mechanical inspection, authenticated service record, warranty, or guarantee of condition or sale price. Buyers should still inspect the bicycle and verify important claims directly.

Using a Shareable Bike Record
The detailed controls remain with the individual bicycle inside My Garage.Is the core record free?
Yes. A bicycle can have a live, revocable buyer link with its available identity, owner photo, specifications, setup, upgrades, service and inspections. You can also print it or save it as a PDF.
Can I create one for a bike that is not in the Archive?
Yes. Add a private owner-entered bicycle in My Garage using its manufacturer and model. Any optional identity and specification details you include are labeled as owner supplied.
Can a buyer see my private Garage?
No. A buyer sees only the separate shareable record and the information allowed there. Your member email, private notes, full serial number and private maintenance data remain excluded.
Can I stop an old link from working?
Yes. Revoke it to close it immediately, or replace it with a new address. Your private bicycle record and documented history remain in My Garage.
